The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 24,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 9 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  1. It deserves to be published as a book so that 500000(added one more zero to
Swagata’s figure)will be enthrolled and entertained.

    • Agreed with that sentiment whole-heartedly. These chronicles work for us at various levels, and each one of them is fascinating in itself. I daresay that is the real reason why so many people reach here. As will many more over time.

Have to agree with Samik as well, this blog opened up another another vista of East Bengal to me, a part of the world that I’d heard about so much from my mother and others. And yes, that is also one of the levels/layers that I spoke about earlier.

Most of all, may i wish TKS and all of us in this little community a Very Happy New Year (albeit belatedly. May it be a Year of Peace, Progress and Good Health to all.

  2. Started reading as an aviation enthusiast, but found myself loving the posts about your childhood in East Bengal even more. Thank you Air Commodore Sen, for a wonderfully written blog.
